Photogrammetry is one of the most powerful tools that can be used to map and cartograph almost any land available. In architecture, this tool can be used to inspect, measure and digitally create any site area or existing buildings, as well as interior spaces. 

After the photos are processed in a multiple step workflow, in a specific software, the final mesh is a high-poly model, that is a digital replica of the studied land. The result is not only georeferenced, but it’s also a mesh geometry that is having real scale dimensions of the site. 

Certain software can allow to view and measure directly on the model, this being a real advantage in the process of recreating new digital nurbs models of the sites, or of the buildings, that will be later used in architecture BIM Software.
